I used others alluminium plates to cover the hacked holes.
The it was time to think about the shifting servo. This the solution.

And a bended thin plate covered the pinions.
The battery tray. I thought that a raised battery affeceted the CG, but with all that alluminium to reinforce the frame, the CG is low enough.
These are a couple of "off body" pics of the truck completed.
The truck is now sporting an Orion 27 turns motor that gives me a good top speed but tons of torque in first gear.

Runtime is around 50 mins with a 2400 mah pack.
